About the Garden

Designed as a private courtyard retreat, this garden draws its character from the warm walled gardens of the Mediterranean. A handcrafted lead wall fountain spills into a recessed dark-tiled basin, the sound of water softening the enclosed space and animating the lime-rendered wall behind.

Honed travertine paving and a continuous travertine-capped raised bed unify the layout, with drought-tolerant grasses, succulents and a weathered terracotta pot adding texture against the original brick wall. The result is a calm, low-maintenance courtyard built for slow afternoons and quiet evenings.
